Roma Looping X80 Pipeline
Since 1968 BlueScope Steel has supplied more than one million tonnes of steel for pipeline applications. This steel is now known as PIPESTEEL™. The ongoing drive to lower the cost of pipeline construction has led to the development of higher strength pipeline steels. Using X80 pipeline manufactured from PIPESTEEL™ by BlueScope Steel, Agility installed a thirteen kilometre section of the Roma Looping Line using regular welding techniques. The use of higher strength pipeline material has the potential to reduce the total steel tonnage required for a pipeline project. [Read More]
