PIPESTEEL™ Products

From the earliest supply of coil suitable for conversion to pipe grades in 1968, PIPESTEEL™ has been produced in compliance with American Petroleum Industry (API) Standards. BlueScope Steel has developed a full range of products suitable for producing pipe of varying strength, from the base API Grade B through to API 5L X80.

BlueScope Steel's quality assurance systems, steelmaking technology and ability to closely control the rolling of steel to finished coil, have seen the acceptance of its steels throughout the pipeline industry. Testament to this is the fact that more than one million tonnes of PIPESTEEL™ have been used in Australian oil & gas transmission projects since 1968.

BlueScope Steel can supply coil for production of pipe from 4" to 18" in diameter with a maximum wall thickness, depending on steel grade, of 12.7mm.
