Speed of Delivery

For XLERPLATE®'s General Range, the lead time is three weeks, despatched ex-works.

Commonly ordered thicknesses in the XLERPLATE® Standard Range continue to be despatched ex-works in a lead time of two weeks and also stocked in market by our distribution network.

Jimmy Trambas, Managing Director, Doric Engineering

Ordering your XLERPLATE® products on short lead times, means you can better tailor your stock mix, ensure valuable sales are not lost due to stock-outs, improve stock turn, cash flow, and reduce cost of possession.

"Without BlueScope Steel's help, we probably would not have won this contract, we would not have been able to get the steel in time."
Jimmy Trambas, Managing Director, Doric Engineering

Diverse Product Range

With a comprehensive XLERPLATE® product range, suitable for structural, pressure vessel, and heat treatable applications, you can source steel plate to meet your exact processing, fabrication or manufacturing needs.

Our XLERPLATE® range is available in thicknesses from 5mm - 150mm and greater, up to 3200mm wide and 18.3 metres long. The XLERPLATE® Standard Range encompasses the most frequently used grades in varying sizes.

This range is stocked "in market" by BlueScope Steel's national distribution network and is the most economic choice for many common applications. By specifying tailored sizes and grades from the XLERPLATE® General Range, you may be able to reduce costs associated with processing, testing, blasting and painting, welding or material waste.

Paul Peca, Manager/Estimator, Wenco Pty Ltd

The XLERPLATE® range also encompasses special purpose grades available by enquiry that have unique properties and can be individually developed to customer specifications. We can even produce international steel plate grades on request.

"The special grade of XLERPLATE® steel we have specified for the project is only available in Australia from BlueScope Steel and because of its unique properties it is one that is not often used."
Paul Peca, Manager/Estimator, Wenco Pty Ltd
