Roofing and walling made from LYSAGHT SPANDEK®

Product Description and Features

LYSAGHT SPANDEK® is a contemporary looking, trapezoidal profile which is ideal where a stronger, bolder, more modern corrugated appearance is required. It combines strength with lightness, rigidity and economy.

  • Can be used for both roofing and walling
  • Custom cut lengths to avoid waste. One sheet from roof ridge to gutter, no end laps (provided length can be safely transported)
  • Allows wide support spacings. Regular product, internal spans up to 3000mm for roofing and up to 3300mm for walling (0.48mm BMT) for normal weather conditions
  • Snug nesting of ribs ensures neat side laps
  • Long, straight lengths can be lowered into place and easily aligned
  • A special anti-capillary groove in the side lap allows use on roof pitches as low as 3 degrees (1 in 20)

Common Uses of this product

Roofing and walling in industrial, commercial, and residential applications.

Warnings

  • Minimum roof pitch of 3 degrees (1 in 20)
  • Ensure selection of suitable material for environmental conditions for maximum durability
  • Lead and copper are not compatible with ZINCALUME® steel or COLORBOND® steel

Maximum Support Spacings

The maximum recommended roof support spacings are based on testing in accordance with AS1562.1-1992, AS4040.1-1992, and AS4040.2-1992.

Roof spans consider both resistance to wind pressure and light foot traffic (traffic arising from incidental maintenance).

Wall spans consider resistance to wind pressure only.

The pressure considered is based on buildings up to 10 m high in Region B, Terrain Category 3, Ms=0.85, Mi=1.0, Mt=1.0, with the following assumptions made:

Roofs:

Cpi=+0.20, Cpe=-0.90, and K l=2.0 for single and end spans, Kl=1.5 for internal spans.

Walls:

Cpi=+0.20, Cpe=-0.65, and K l=2.0 for single and end spans, Kl=1.5 for internal spans.

These spacings may vary by serviceability and strength limit states for particular projects.
